Funeral for a Friend

Today, I buried my friend.

He had only been my friend for a few years, but I miss him more than I thought I would.

Fred came into my world at a time I really needed a friend.

He was always happy, never really asked for much, and never complained.

He had been sick for the last year, and even in his last days when he couldn't see, and had trouble eating, I would sit for as long as it took to hand feed him.

His funeral was simple, yet dignified. Just like he would have wanted.

We've already cleaned out his house, and it is presently available to rent.

I miss you Freddy.

You were a good Betta.

LOL LaRelle!!

I too ..am sorry~

Those suckers do live long lives. Flounder (my blue betta) has been around a few years now and even survived Christmas break for a week & 1/2 without food before I forgot I'd left him @ school. Oops!! I'm such a bad parent, maybe that is why we dont have kids yet!

Freddy was a very pretty shade of blue.

Why is it that all blue betta fish named "Freddy" live short lives?

I too have lost a blue betta named Freddy. :(

Oh the sad memories are coming all back again!!! :(

I'm sorry for your loss. We need to start a betta fish loss support group.
